Best Practices: Writing Blog Articles
Company blogs continue to grow in popularity as a way for businesses to communicate, engage with their clients, generate more website traffic and showcase what makes their company great.
Publishing blog articles is a logical and very natural way to update your website frequently. Blog Articles are a signal to search engines that your website it’s being taken care of and is a good place to send web users. A new blog post every couple of weeks is a good start.
Keywords are the words and/or phrases you think people will use in search engines to find information related to your business. Every post you write should target a keyword or keyword phrase that is most relevant to your post.
As you write your blog, your keyword and natural variations should be regularly interspersed throughout the post. Your primary keyword should appear in these key places:
- Title
- Headings and subheadings
- URL if possible
- Image alt text (search engines can’t read images)
- Throughout the content
TIP: Remember that you’re writing for humans, not search engines. Focus on engaging readers with a natural writing style that takes their needs and interests into account.
