GENERAL QUESTIONS:
What is the ProSeller Platform?
The ProSeller Platform is the new name for the Boats Group platform previously known as the MLS (Multiple Listing Service). It's a comprehensive selling solution designed to empower all professional boat sellers within Boats Group. Professional sellers have access to in-market boats, tools to print brochures, share listings with clients, and connect with other professional sellers.
Isn’t this just the MLS?
While the core functionality of the tool remains, the name, ProSeller Platform, better reflects what the tool is and how dealers and brokers use it. The platform will continue to provide professional sellers with tools to market their listings and connect with other sellers.
Why did the name change?
We wanted a name that reflects our commitment to providing a platform for all professional sellers and the variety of tools available within the ProSeller Platform to help you sell boats.
Who can use the ProSeller Platform?
The ProSeller Platform is open to all Boats Group professional broker and dealer members. Existing policies and qualifications for using BoatWizard and its tools remain unchanged.
What if a professional seller contacts me about a boat that is available for co-brokerage, but he/she is not a broker?
Similar to the current platform functionality, both professional sellers should collaborate to explore potential partnership opportunities and collaboratively define the terms of any resulting agreement.
Are sellers still required to have at least 75% of their listings “available for co-brokerage” to use the ProSeller Platform? To maintain eligibility for YachtWorld.com, three boats or 75% of a customer’s listings, less new and trade-in inventory, must be available for co-brokerage, whichever is greater. The ProSeller Platform is designed to be accessible to all professional sellers. It provides access to marketing tools and the convenience of having a single database of all listings from professional sellers. A separate policy is related to the Co-Brokerage API, which allows brokers to display listings on their own websites. To use the Co-Brokerage API, a seller is still required to contribute at least 10 “central” and “available for co-brokerage” listings to the ProSeller Platform.
When will brokerage features be available on BT?
Brokerage features will not be available to Boat Trader members unless they are brokers. If they want the co-brokerage API, they would need to join YachtWorld.
PLATFORM ACCESS:
- Do I need to do anything to access the ProSeller Platform? No. Just log in to BoatWizard with your credentials as you normally do, and the ProSeller Platform tab will appear alongside the other tabs at the top. The ProSeller Platform is open to all professional broker and dealer members of Boats Group.
- I am a new Boats Group member. How can I access the ProSeller Platform? Simply log in to BoatWizard with your credentials, and the ProSeller Platform tab will appear in your BoatWizard account alongside the other tabs at the top. Within the ProSeller Platform, you can access marketing tools and search boats available for sale across the globe.
